About the Event

A safe space to share our stories and observations in celebration of the fullness of Life that includes death.

This is primarily a conversation space, not a ritual space, but participants will be invited to light candles in honour of those who are no longer with us in flesh form, should they so choose.

Every culture has ways of marking the end of harvest and the time of returning to the earth ... of honouring the ancestors and the cycles of birth, death and regeneration. Whether it is Halloween, Day of the Dead, Samhain, or whatever your traditions may be, there is room for you here.

You needn't bring anything with you, but if you have a token of remembrance you'd like to bring, if there is finger food you would like to share, if you'd like to demonstrate a simple ritual from your culture, if you are grieving and would like to speak about it... or if you would simply prefer to listen... whatever draws you to a dialogue around death... you are welcome.

This circle is a co-production between The Centre, All Stages Life Solutions and Talking The Walk Educational Speakers Agency. It will be facilitated by registered mindfulness practitioner and certified embodiment life coach, Missy Christensen, RScP. The physical meeting space and the discussion circle are accessible and open to everyone, without discrimination. The proceedings will move forward with respect for principles of oneness, self determination and trauma awareness.

This event is offered as an act of service, so there is no entry fee. However, donations are gratefully accepted, in support of our organizations and the ongoing community empowerment work we do. (You can donate in person, via this website or via e-transfer to admin@thecentrecr.org).

The meeting will take place in a room at the back of Ironwood Mall (the mall will be closed for business at that time). Follow the signs. Text contact on the day will be Missy at 604-868-2163.
