Mum's The Word - Mother's Story Workshop
Mothers… we all have one, but how often do we consider their stories as individuals? How might doing so inform what we know about ourselves? Let's find out!
Time & Location
May 13, 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. PDT
Quadra Island Library, 654 Harper Rd, Quathiaski Cove, BC V0P 1N0, Canada
About the Event
Just in time for Mothers’ Day, join professional storyteller and mindfulness Practitioner, Missy Christensen, for this day-long voyage of discovery, launched through the sharing of our mothers’ stories. Come prepared to explore, write and discuss.
Bring your mom’s story! Bring your writing tools! Bring a lunch! Heck, you can even bring your mom, if she’d like to join in too! No experience necessary. (There will be a break, approximately midway, for lunch and to move around a bit).
This free workshop is a joint community project from your Vancouver Island Regional Libraries and The Centre for Inspired Living, Campbell River. It is taking place at the Quadra Island Library.
Pre-registration is encouraged and preferred. SPACE IS VERY LIMITED. Register online here, or you can call the library at 250-285-2216 to give them your contact info and let them know you will be attending. (If you need to cancel, please do let us know, so we can allow someone else on the waiting list to have the space).
Donations to The Centre are gratefully accepted, in support of our ongoing mission to offer transformational, community-enhancing projects and events. You can use the donation button on our website, or e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
