We have been conditioned, since the day we were born, to "achieve", to "accomplish", to "become more"... but more of what, exactly? Our to-do lists keep growing, the five-year plan keeps shifting, and somewhere in all of that striving, we forget how to simply live.
I have spent two days a week, for two months, forcing myself to sit still, in opposition to that 'achievement' programming. I had no phone with me, no computer... it was just me, a lake, and a couple of loons. It definitely gave me a new perspective. What came up for me wasn't thoughts around productivity. Instead, I was drawn to a question I couldn't seem to shake, "what is all this 'achievement' actually FOR?"
Click to watch this week's video... because I'm betting you've been asking that question too.
